Introduction
The Pashupati Market is in Nepal near the India border. This can be visited from the Mirik side of Darjeeling. For Indians, any authorized document of India is acceptable to visit the place. It is about 30 km from Darjeeling town. Many tourists visit this place, mostly, to see the border country. The two view points on the way from Darjeeling to Pashupati market are the Pine view Point and the Simana view Point.
The market sells clothes, cosmetics, electronic goods, household goods and other consumer goods. The prices are reasonable. Beware of some counterfeit items. There are some street vendors in the market selling snacks.

How to get to Pashupati market
The best way to reach Pashupati market is by taxi. The taxi rate is around Rs.3500 ($45). From the border, a Nepali van need to be hired to go to Pashupati market which is about 10-minute drive away. The charge for the van is around Rs.150 ($2) for the return trip. The drive takes an hour. Considering the Pine view point and the Simana view point stops, it takes about 2 hours.

There is a van parking spot in Pashupati market. A slip is given to you when you were dropped off at Pashupati Temple. Show the slip at the van parking spot and the next available van will drop you off at Indo-Nepal border.
Pine View Point
This is at Lepcha Jagat, Ghoom-Simana Range, Darjeeling Forest division. The entry fee is about Rs.20 ($0.25) per head. There are a lot of Pine trees at this place. This is a beautiful picturesque spot for photography and videos. Great place to spend some time here before proceeding to Nepal Pashupati market. The Pine trees are so densely located, it looks like a dense pine forest. It is a memorable experience.

This is about 6 km away from Pashupati market. Situated at about 7500 feet altitude, this place gives a magnificent view of the surroundings. The mountain view is amazing. This is the Indo-Nepal border area. You can see some houses in the valley below. There are some tea stalls here to refresh yourself. There is also a restroom here.
