Introduction
The Gautam Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is sculpted out of a single rock. It is erected on Gibraltar rock in Hussain Sagar at Lumbini Park. It is the largest monolith of Buddha in India. This was carved out of a single granite rock. The height of the statue is about 17 meters (56 feet) and it weighs about 320 tons. The Gibraltar rock is about 15 feet (4.6 meters). Many tourists visit this place. This also has spiritual significance.

The Lumbini Park is located adjacent to Hussain Sagar Lake and opposite to the Secretariat building. It is by the side of Telangana Martyrs memorial. The park is in an area of about 7.5 acres. There is a musical fountain and laser auditorium. Birla Mandir is about 1 km away and the NTR gardens about 2 km away.

How to get to Lumbini Park and Buddha Statue
There are boats that run between Lumbini Park and the Buddha Statue. The frequency is about 15 minutes.
There are a lot of buses that go to Lumbini Park. Secretariat bus stop is just opposite Lumbini Park.
The nearest metro station is Lakdikapul. It is about one kilometer away. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to Lumbini Park.
