Bangkok train transport has metro system with various networks operating. They cover a large part of Bangkok city. Due to the heavy traffic in the city, especially during peak hours, the best way to travel fast is by metro. The main networks of metro are BTS, MRT, SRT and ARL. The below information is as of the beginning of the year 2024. The construction and development works are going on.

BTS Skytrain of Bangkok train network has the following lines

BTS Skytrain Tickets of Bangkok train network
Single journey card can be bought at the counter for each journey and are valid on the day of purchase. The minimum fare is 17 baht and maximum of 47 baht per journey. The fares change over time. There will be queues at the counter and especially during peak hours there will be long queues. The tickets can also be purchased from ticket issuing machine, integrated ticketing machine and ticket vending machine. Passengers can be in the paid area for a maximum of 300 minutes.
One-day pass is available at all BTS ticket offices and is non-refundable. It is valid for unlimited rides on the green lines on the date of issue or registration. It costs 150 baht. The fares change over time. Passengers can be in the paid area for a maximum of 300 minutes.
Rabbit cards are top-up cards. The initially fee for buying them is 100 baht. Later one can top-up with some money and use it until it is over. This will save time avoiding queues.

The Bangkok train operating hours are 5.15 AM to Midnight

The frequency of the trains is 3 to 6 minutes depending on the rush hours

One-day MRT tourist pass is available at all MRT ticket offices and is non-refundable. It is valid for unlimited rides on the green lines on the date of issue or registration. It costs 120 baht. Three-day pass costs 230 baht. Thirty-day pass costs 1400 baht. The fares change over time.
The stored value card initial value is 180 baht that has 100-baht travel value. This can be topped-up and used until the money is over and then top-up again.
