Introduction
The Mahanakhon Skywalk is a 314 m (1030 ft) tall building and a must-see attraction in Bangkok. This is Thailand’s highest observation deck and is on the 78th floor of King Power Mahanakhon building. You can walk on the glass tray and see the Bangkok city under your feet. Experience the view of Bangkok from skywalk. Many tourists visit this place every year.
The King Power Mahanakhon has Mahanakhon Cube and Mahanakhon eatery. You can shop and dine here. There is a duty-free shop in this building. The King Power Mahanakhon is a mixed-use building. It has pixelated design. This is the second highest building in Bangkok after the Magnolias Waterfront Residences at ICONSIAM. These Waterfront Residences are 317 meters in height.

Best time to visit skywalk
Weekdays evening time would be the best time to visit the skywalk as there will be less crowd. In the evenings you can also see the sunset and the night view of Bangkok in lights. From November to March the temperatures are between 29C (85F) and 34C (93F)
How to get to skywalk
The best way to go to Mahanakhon Skywalk is to take BTS Silom line to Chong Nonsi station. Take the exit 3 out of Chong Nonsi station. A 5-min walk from Chong Nonsi to Mahanakhon. The interchange station between BTS Silom line and the BTS Sukhumvit line is the Siam station. The interchange station between BTS Silom line and the MRT blue line is Saladaeng. Bangkok BRT (Bus Rapid transport) station is accessible from this building.
Open timings and ticket of skywalk
These may change over time. The Mahanakhon Skywalk is open from 10 AM to 7 PM. Drink and Snack Package between 10 AM and 3.30 PM costs 990 baht and includes one skywalk ticket, one selected drink and one selected snack. Between 4 PM and 6.30 PM, it costs 1190 baht and includes one skywalk ticket, one selected drink, one selected snack and digital images. Play Package between 10 AM and 3.30 PM costs 990 baht and includes one skywalk ticket and one sky ride ticket. Between 4 PM and 6.30 PM, it costs 1190 baht and includes one skywalk ticket, one sky ride ticket and digital images. Memory Package between 10 AM and 3.30 PM costs 990 baht and includes one skywalk ticket and digital images.

Dress Code at Mahanakhon skywalk
There is no dress code to visit Mahanakhon skywalk. The 78th floor is an open area, and it may be cold based on weather conditions. Choose your attire according to the weather conditions on that day.

Restricted Items
Professional photographic equipment, tripod, drones, bags, luggage, items that are not small carry-on, food, pets etc. are not allowed in Mahanakhon skywalk. Bags may be allowed to check at the guest services.
Layout
There is a spacious lobby at the entrance of Mahanakhon skywalk, where one can buy the tickets. The elevator is at the end of a corridor of digital walls. The first floor has skyrides
The 74th floor can be reached in about 50 seconds by the elevator. Experience the video themed elevator. The seventy fourth floor is the indoor observation area. One can have a view of Bangkok from all sides. Interactive touch screens are present to learn about Bangkok.
The hydraulic glass lift takes you from 75th floor to the 78th floor. Steps are also there to go from 75th floor to 78th floor. Better to wait a few minutes and go by hydraulic glass lift rather than by climbing the steps.
The seventy eighth floor is outdoor. There is the glass tray here. Disposable shoe covers are required to enter the glass tray and they are provided. It is a fantastic experience seeing the ground below through this glass tray. Mobile phones and other items are not allowed on the glass tray. Apart from the glass tray, the deck itself gives a wonderful experience with a 360-degree view of Bangkok. One can have excellent photos of the city from the deck. The floor will be closed in case of heavy rain. It is better to visit the 78th floor first if the weather is giving an indication of turning bad.

Tips for visiting skywalk
Do not forget to collect your digital images before exiting.
Buy BTS day pass if you have plans to go around the Bangkok city to see attractions. It is valid in Sukhumvit and Silom lines. costing about 150-baht, money can be saved if you are going to multiple places in the city. You will mostly cover the city through BTS line. You can buy single journey ticket for MRT blue line whenever required.
Big bags are not allowed inside. They should be deposited at the guest services.
Approval required to use professional photographic equipment, tripods and such other equipment.
The BTS train is visible from 74th floor. It looks like a small train from this height. Capturing a video of the running train gives an amazing experience.
Afte 4 PM sunset can be captured on a good day. But the ticket price for the evenings is more.
There is less crowd on weekdays
